最新推出的紀錄片「牆」(The Wall)，日前在明州首映。世界日報記者／黃慧玲攝影 分享 facebook 曾出版「海外生活的學習：在中國學到的人性」一書 (Life Learned Abroad: Lessons on Humanity from China)的記者作家弗迪克(Brandon Ferdig)，最新推出的紀錄片「牆」(The Wall)，日前在明州首映，該影片深層披露遊民內心與困境，引起廣大觀眾重新關注這個活在陰影的族群。弗迪克說，去年當他在明尼亞波利斯市的55號公路旁，看見數百名沿著挖好康折扣情報圍牆搭帳棚的遊民後，決定採訪這群主要是美國印第安人原住民的遊民，並將他們的故事拍成紀錄片，希望大眾對遊民的需要有更多認識。. } }); } 弗迪克說，人們對遊民想法各異，但他相信人類追求和平的目標是不變的，他期待觀眾可以同理心來看遊民。影片剪輯去年6月開始的電視新聞報導，描述這個稱為「牆」的遊民聚落，在公路旁搭帳棚，該地區在短短三個月內，人數從25人增加到300人。影片提到，市政府一開始沒有驅趕少數的遊民，當地的慈善機構還提供該處遊民流動廁所、食物等救助，使得搭棚人數激增，等到後來市府想將遊民遷離，過程卻不順利。曾經成功把市區遊民人數降低一半的休士頓主管單位向弗迪克分享經驗表示，除了政府嚴格執法，也需尋找經費補助，並集合警力、社工等單位輔導遊民找尋住處。弗迪克在影片中問了遊民許多問題，包括以前有工作嗎？有家人嗎？曾經有家嗎？而有些遊民早已想不起何時有過家，還有人問什麼是家？有個流浪八年的男大力推薦熱銷子說，他小時候輾轉住在各個寄養家庭的痛苦經驗，導致他不喜歡所謂有人一起住的家。有個中年男士擔任技工，餵飽自己不是問題，但是自從妻子過世後，情緒低落而無法正常生活，最後流落到該遊民區。有對夫婦說他們的六個孩子都住在寄養家庭。他們覺得別人把他們看成「眼中釘」，夫婦原本有工作，卻以毒品逃避現實，結果失去工作和孩子。多數遊民明顯有著無力處理的情緒問題，也不相信他人會願意提供協助，而跟其他遊民同住時，似乎才能獲得經典商品最新出版一定的支持與慰藉。弗迪克在明州北部長大，大學原本主修心理，後來改念新聞網路熱賣商品系，目前擔任記者與自由撰稿，此外，他也創辦了網站，撰寫評論與旅行紀錄。該影片深層披露遊民內心與困境，引起廣大觀眾重新關注這個活在陰影的族群。世界日報記者／黃慧玲攝影 分享 facebook
